Tropicana Atlantic City offers support to Gilda’s Club South Jersey and The American Cancer Society during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (September 30, 2019) – October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Tropicana is joining the cause by going pink and hosting promotions to increase awareness and benefit The American Cancer Society and Gilda’s Club South Jersey.

Real Men Wear Pink

Jason Gregorec, General Manager, Tropicana Atlantic City, is leading Tropicana’s efforts through his participation in the American Cancer Society’s Real Men Wear Pink campaign. Through the campaign, male community leaders around the nation use the power of pink to raise awareness and money for the American Cancer Society's breast cancer initiatives, including innovative research, patient services, and education around screenings and risk reduction.

Gregorec will wear pink during the entire month of October as he raises awareness and funds for breast cancer. Tropicana Executives and Team Members will join Gregorec in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Ocean City on Sunday, October 13.

“Breast cancer affects everyone — it doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman. That is why I'm stepping up to help make a difference in our community and fight breast cancer with all I have,” said Gregorec. “Most people know someone who has been touched by cancer and any opportunity to help change this, I will support.”

Throughout the month, Tropicana will also “go pink,” with pink lights on the property’s exterior, including the cupola atop the Havana Tower, as well as every Tropicana fountain, in support of the thousands of brave women in the region who have battled breast cancer. Tropicana will donate all coins tossed in the fountain during October to the American Cancer Society. Guests, visitors and employees will also see breast cancer awareness messages displayed on Tropicana’s iconic Multimedia Light and Sound Show located on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.
