Grand Funk Railroad will take the stage at Tropicana Atlantic City’s Showroom Saturday, March 7.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (November 26, 2019) – Top selling 70’s American Rock Group, Grand Funk Railroad, is “comin’ to your town to help you party it down” at the Tropicana Atlantic City Showroom Saturday, March 7 at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Grand Funk Railroad’s “Some Kind of Wonderful Tour 2020” marks a monumental 51-year milestone for the band. The high-energy five-piece group will play forty shows across the USA during the span of their tour.

Grand Funk Railroad laid the groundwork for bands such as Foreigner, Journey, Van Halen and Bon Jovi with its signature hard driving sound, soulful vocals, muscular instrumentation and forceful pop melodies. Mega-hits of the group include "We’re an American Band," "I’m Your Captain/Closer to Home," "Locomotion," and "Some Kind of Wonderful."

Top hit "We’re an American Band" has received notoriety in recent years and has been used in movie sound tracks and in television and radio advertising. "We’re an American Band" was featured in General Motors national TV ad campaign, Disney’s animated feature film The Country Bears, Cuba Gooding Jr. film RADIO and in the swashbuckler SAHARA starring Matthew McConaughey.

Over the span of their career, Grand Funk has had 19 charted singles, 8 Top 40 hits and two Number One singles, "We’re an American Band" and "Locomotion," both selling more than one million copies respectively.
