“Chances Are” you will not want to miss Johnny Mathis at the Tropicana with Gary Mule Deer, October 19 & 20
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (September 10, 2007) – The Grammy Hall of Famer, Johnny Mathis will bring "A Certain Smile" to the audience members as he performs his award-winning music at the Tropicana Casino & Resort with Gary Mule Deer on Friday, October 19 and Saturday, October 20 in the Tropicana Showroom.
Johnny Mathis released his latest albums, The 50th Anniversary Celebration and The 50th Anniversary Christmas Celebration on October 17, 2006. The 50th Anniversary Celebration will feature Mathis classics such as "A Certain Smile" and "It's Not For Me To Say" as well as the yet to be released collaboration with Dave Koz "The Shadow of Your Smile." The 50th Anniversary Christmas Celebration will feature a new duet with Bette Midler of "Winter Wonderland/Let It Snow."
Mathis has been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame two times with "Chances Are" in 1998, and again with "Misty" in 2002. Mathis received a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences in 2003, and is one of only five recording artists to have Top 40 hits spanning each of the four decades since 1955, including the songs "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late" and "Chances Are."
In 1958, Mathis released his Greatest Hits album, and it went on to become one of the most popular albums of all time spending an unprecedented 490 continuous weeks (almost ten years) on the Billboard Top Albums Chart. This record has been noted in the Guinness Book of World Records.
