Taste of The QuarterAugust 25 Culinary Celebration To Benefit

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (July 23, 2008) –
The Tropicana Casino and Resort will host a Taste of the Quarter benefit on Monday, August 25, 2008, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Attendees will enjoy an eclectic wonderland of cuisine and entertainment from fourteen of The Quarter’s most exciting destinations, and a special appearance by local celebrities to appear as celebrity chefs. All proceeds will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Southern New Jersey/Shore Region Chapter.
“The Quarter has gained a reputation for the finest restaurants and hottest entertainment spots in Atlantic City,” said Mark Giannantonio, the Tropicana’s President and C.O.O. “The Taste of the Quarter is an exciting opportunity to sample tasty offerings and unique experiences from thirteen establishments, all in one night.”
The Taste of the Quarter will feature samplings from Carmine’s, Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, The Palm Restaurant, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Red Square, A Dam Good Sports Bar, Comedy Stop Cafe, Providence, Missile Bar, Planet Rose Karaoke Bar, Rí-Rá Irish Pub & Restaurant, Tinder Box/ Vino 100, Zeytinia New York’s Gourmet Choice and the IMAX Theatre.
The Tropicana will also display a prize table, where attendees can purchase raffle tickets for chances to win prizes from the Quarter retail stores, overnight stays, IMAX tickets, and even a $1,500 Gift Card to The Quarter.
Taste of the Quarter is sponsored by www.goac.com. Proceeds benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), Southern New Jersey/Shore Region Chapter, the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. Founded in 1949, the mission of LLS is to cure Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and Myeloma, while improving the quality of life for the more than 823,000 Americans diagnosed with these devastating diseases.
Tickets to Taste of the Quarter are $25 per person. Tickets are available for purchase at the IMAX Box Office located in The Quarter or Ticketmaster at 1-800-736-1420 or ticketmaster.com. Registration begins at 6:00 pm at the New Member Center located in The Quarter on the day of the event.
