Dancing Queen brings disco back to Tropicana July 6 – August 28
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (June 4, 2008) –
The songs are from the era when music was fun, choreography was extreme and everyone danced to the beat of a different drummer. Relive the time of 1970s disco with the production extravaganza of Dancing Queen, Sunday, July 6 to Thursday, August 28 in the Tropicana Showroom.
Featuring the greatest hits from Abba, The Bee Gees, the Village People and more, Dancing Queen includes a cast of twenty singers and dancers in all their glittering glory. Drawing raves from across the country; Dancing Queen is the ultimate dance party with 1970s costumes, astonishing choreography and incredible musical arrangements.
Originally from Sweden, ABBA took America and the world by storm beginning in 1975. Hit songs such as “Mamma Mia,” “SOS,” and “I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do” showed ABBA as a group with a unique sound and approach. The group’s popularity spawned the musical Momma Mia decades later.
Like ABBA, Dancing Queen is fronted by two female and two male singers. The production will feature popular and timeless ABBA songs such as “Dancing Queen,” “Thank you for the Music,” “Waterloo,” “Winner takes it all,” and “Money, Money, Money.” Look out for other favorite songs from that era such as “In the Navy,” “Celebration,” “YMCA,” and lots more to keep you dancing in the aisles.
