Go the extra mile with the Tropicana’s Smart Car and Gas Card Giveaway
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (May 13, 2008) –
Are growing gas prices keeping you close to home? This July, the road trip makes a comeback, as the Tropicana Casino and Resort gives away $25,000 in free gas cards and a 2008 Smart Car convertible – the tiny car that packs huge fuel savings.
“The Smart Car is the ultimate green machine, traveling an average of 55 miles on one gallon of gas,” said Mark Giannantonio, the Tropicana’s President and COO. “At a time of historic high gas prices, that kind of fuel savings can make all the difference between staying home and getting out and enjoying life.”
The 2-seater Smart Car has been popular in Europe for many years. Although it’s small in stature, the Smart Car has earned the same safety factor rating as an e-class Mercedes. With great German styling, a remarkable exoskeleton for superior safety and a 55 MPG engine, the super cute Smart Car is set to become America’s new favorite ride.
On Sunday, July 6, 2008, the Tropicana will award a total of $25,000 in free gas cards in hourly drawings from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Palm Walk on the Casino Floor. At 6 p.m., one player will be named the grand prize winner of a 2008 white convertible Smart Car with a tan interior loaded with all the bells and whistles, valued at $21,500. The Smart Car will be on display in the Palm Walk throughout the promotional period.
The Tropicana’s Smart Car and Gas Card Giveaway is open to all Diamond Club members. Entries can be earned now through July 5, 2008, simply by playing Tropicana slots and table games with the Diamond Club card.
