SING ALONG WITH “THE BEST OF BROADWAY” AT THE TROPICANA MAY 12 – JUNE 25

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (April 16, 2008) – Want to experience the very best of Broadway? This summer, you don’t have to go farther than the Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City. From May 12 through June 25, 2008, the spectacular song and dance review “The Best of Broadway” returns by popular demand to the Tropicana Showroom.

This engagement is the third visit to the Tropicana for the show called “a musical joyride.” From the producer of “Viva Casino” comes a big, brassy, tuneful triumph that is guaranteed to have you humming the songs for many, many hours after you leave the showroom.

The energetic cast includes six powerful singers, 12 amazing dancers, and four live musicians. What makes this show so popular? Creator Mario Bazinet explains, “The show gives the people what they want – glitz, glamour and gorgeous costumes. It’s also a great initiation for people who think they don’t like musicals. It’s got the best songs; songs everyone is familiar with.”

“The Best of Broadway's” musical excerpts have been carefully chosen from the best moments of the greatest musicals ever produced. Even the uninitiated would be hard-pressed not to recognize the top tunes from 17 exciting musicals including Hello Dolly, Sweet Charity, Chicago, The Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, Grease, Cats, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King and Fame. New this year are two numbers from Hairspray and Mary Poppins. Colorful, high energy and touching all at once, “The Best of Broadway” will captivate audiences of all ages, backgrounds and tastes.

Show times are 8 p.m. on Mondays; 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays; and 9 p.m. on Saturdays. (Dark on Thursdays and Fridays). Tickets are priced at $25, and are available through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com or via phone at 1.800.736.1420, or at the Tropicana Box Office, located on the 1st floor of the North Tower.
