Tropicana Casino and Resort Announces Midnight Pre-Screening of SHINE A LIGHT: THE IMAX EXPERIENCE and Rolling Stones look-alike contest
ATLANTIC CITY (March xx, 2008) – Rolling Stones fans, you’re about to “get what you need.” The Tropicana Casino & Resort will kick off the opening of SHINE A LIGHT: THE IMAX EXPERIENCE with a midnight pre-screening on Thursday night, April 3, 2008 at the IMAX Theatre in The Quarter. This kick-off event will include a Mick Jagger and Keith Richards look-alike contest hosted by the DJs of The Shark 103.7.

In SHINE A LIGHT, an Academy Award®-winning filmmaker and the world’s greatest rock n’ roll band have united to bring audiences the year’s most extraordinary musical film event. This Martin Scorsese concert documentary will show the world the Rolling Stones as they’ve never been seen before. Filmed at the famed Beacon Theatre in New York City in fall 2006, Scorsese assembled a legendary team of cinematographers to capture the raw energy of this legendary band.
Stones fans who think they look like rockers Mick Jagger or Keith Richards are invited to don their tightest leather pants and compete in a look-alike contest hosted by The Shark 103.7. Rolling Stones cover band “Hot Rocks” from Philadelphia will serve as contest judges and will perform an acoustic version of Shine a Light. Doors to this event will open at 11 p.m.
The winner of the look-alike contest will receive a complimentary overnight stay at the Tropicana, dinner for two at Fiesta Buffet and two IMAX passes to the opening of The Dark Knight, coming to IMAX in July 2008. That ought to give the winner more than a little “Satisfaction.”
