Red Square offers $1,000 Faberge “Easter Egg” dessert in celebration of Easter
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (February 14, 2008) – Do you want to celebrate this Easter season like a real Czar? Red Square in The Quarter at the Tropicana Casino and Resort is the place to do it. Red Square is offering a signature dessert for two including Dessert Style Caviar, two authentic Fabergé eggs, a bottle of Russian Vodka and access to the Red Square Vodka Locker for six months. And the price for this over-the-top Royal Russian treatment? A mere $1,000.
Red Square’s $1,000 Faberge “Caviar Dessert” is a nod to the early days of 20th century Russia, when Czar Alexander III and Czar Nicholas II had some very special Easter Eggs made for them by the jeweller Carl Fabergé. The first egg, a gift from Alexander III to his wife, was made of gold and white enamel. Inside the egg was a golden yolk containing a golden hen with ruby eyes. Inside the hen was a tiny golden crown. It was so beautiful; the Czar commanded that every Easter Fabergé should make the Czarina a special egg. The term “Fabergé Egg” has since become a synonym for luxury and the eggs are regarded as masterpieces of the jeweler’s art.
Red Square’s various elements reflect layers of Russian history, from the rich red velvet banquette seating and distressed walls revealing old Russian icons and political propaganda, to the statue of Lenin and the private sub-zero Vodka Locker, all combining to create a distinctly Russian ambience. Passing by the statue of Lenin and through the giant heavy metal and gold leaf doors, guests enter the plush world of Red Square, where comfort, intimacy and elegance contribute to its see-and-be-seen atmosphere. The restaurant’s 6,800 square foot space is divided into four seating areas: a bar lounge, main dining room, private dining room, and intimate dining area, allowing guests to roam and settle where they feel most at ease and in tune with the setting. The intimate dining houses five private draped banquette seating areas, ideal for a romantic dinner for two.
Famous for its private vodka lockers, Red Square Atlantic City keeps its locker at sub freezing temperatures, and provides fur coats for the ladies and Russian army jackets to the men to protect them while they visit their private Vodka storage. An impressive frozen ice bar, which measures 40 feet, serves the finest selection of more than 167 frozen vodkas, infusions and martinis. Red Square also features an extensive caviar list and an eclectic menu of “Perestroika” inspired cuisine, French, European and Asian flavors mixed with the comfort of classic American cuisine.
Red Square not only has a four star rating for its service and food, but the only unisex bathrooms in Atlantic City built for two -- if you dare.
