The Tropicana Shifts Excitement Into High Gear
Martin Truex Jr. hosts NASCAR giveaway on Friday, January 18
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – December 10, 2007 – Don’t miss your chance to step into the winner’s circle as Martin Truex Jr., NASCAR Busch Series champion for 2004 and 2005, brings racing fever to Tropicana Casino & Resort on Friday, January 18, 2007.
The excitement revs up with hourly drawings for Martin Truex Jr. signed memorabilia and cash prizes from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the casino floor. Then the action accelerates when Truex drops by in person to meet fans and sign autographs from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Want more time with the champ? Twenty (20) winners will be chosen to attend a private meet-and-mingle cocktail party with Truex at the Top of the Trop from 9:15 p.m. to
9:45 p.m. At 9 p.m., Truex will announce the winner of a Chevy Impala SS The drawing is open to all Diamond Club members. Entries are based on slot and table game play on the day of the drawing, mailed entries and free entries awarded that day.
About Martin Truex Jr.
Raised in Mayetta, New Jersey, Martin Truex Jr. comes from a racing background. His father, Martin Truex, is a former Busch Series driver and introduced his son to the sport. Truex made his Busch Series debut in 2001 driving for a family-owned team. In 2003, driving for Chance 2 Motorsports co-owners Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Teresa Earnhardt, he ended the season with back-to-back runner-up finishes and three top tens in six starts. In 2004, Truex became the second driver to win the Busch Series championship in his rookie season. He scored the championship title again in 2005. After back-to-back Busch Series championships, Truex began his first full year on the Nextel Cup tour in 2006 driving the Number 1 Chevrolet for Dale Earnhardt Inc.
