The Tropicana Continues Commitment to the Community
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – October 26, 2007 – The Tropicana Casino & Resort, voted Luckiest Casino in the 2007 Best of Slots poll, is spreading that good fortune to the surrounding community through a company-wide commitment to neighborhood support. Here are some of the meaningful projects the Tropicana team will take part in this fall:
South Jersey Food Bank • Saturday, October 27, 2007
Vice President of Food and Beverage Al Maiorani and members of the Tropicana team will pitch in to assemble collection boxes in preparation for the Food Bank’s Thanksgiving food drive.
Texas Avenue School • Tuesday, October 30, 2007
Tropicana Casino & Resort will host a school-wide Halloween Party for 480 students at Atlantic City’s Texas Avenue School. The Tropicana’s executive team will provide each child with a flashlight for trick or treating and deliver a spook-tacular Halloween cake to each classroom. That’s 24 cakes in all.
South Jersey Food Bank • Thursday, November 1, 2007
The Tropicana Casino & Resort will donate 400 frozen turkeys to the Salvation Army of Atlantic City. Those donations are matched by U.S. Foodservice, doubling the donation to 800 turkeys to be used to make the Thanksgiving holiday a brighter one for those in need.
Tree Lighting • Thursday, November 15, 2007
To help kick off the 2007 Holiday Season, the Tropicana will sponsor a festive tree lighting ceremony at The Quarter. The ceremony will bring added awareness to the Salvation Army’s array of programs and services for children and adults, including after school programs, clothing and furniture assistance, emergency shelter provisions, toy and clothing donations.
South Jersey Food Bank • Tues., November 20 and Wed., November 21, 2007
Employees of the Tropicana will spend two days at the South Jersey Food Bank serving Thanksgiving dinner to families in need.
Salvation Army • Wednesday, November 21, 2007
Employees of the Tropicana will volunteer their time to serve the homeless a Thanksgiving meal at the Salvation Army in Atlantic City.
