Country superstar Clint Black takes the stage at the Tropicana June 7

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (March 31, 2008) – Since exploding onto the country music scene, superstar Clint Black has performed for millions of music fans across the country and around the world. On Saturday, June 7, 2008, he’ll perform for you in The Tropicana Showroom.

Clint Black’s music, including four #1 singles from his debut album, became the catalyst for the resurgence in the popularity of country music in the early ‘90s, and his live concert performances attract fans of all musical styles. Any fan who has seen him live knows to expect more than a music concert. He is an accomplished musician who goes all out in concert, moving from guitar to drums and harmonica with the ease of a master. He is also considered one of the funniest guys in country music, whose engaging personality immediately connects with an audience. All of this, combined with some of the most memorable songs ever recorded and one of country music’s most distinctive voices make Clint Black’s live concerts an unforgettable experience.

One of music’s most successful artists, Black has sold millions of records worldwide and has nearly two dozen number one hits, and as many Top 5 and Top 10 singles to his credit. His debut CD, Killin’ Time, set the standard for the artist and the industry when an unprecedented four singles from the recording hit the #1 spot and the CD went on to sell three million copies.  Those early hit singles, like “A Better Man,” “Killin’ Time,” and “Walkin’ Away” were soon joined by more hits: “Put Yourself In My Shoes,” “We Tell Ourselves,” “Something That We Do,” “Nothin’ But the Taillights,” “When I Said I Do,” “Spend My Time” and many more.

Black’s latest single is a remake of the Hollies’ classic “Long Cool Woman,” a song that will be included on the artist’s new CD, set for release summer 2008. Like anything he records, Black put his own special spin on this 1972 pop hit, giving it a country flavor that fits the song quite well. For those who can’t wait, the single is included on his first ever-digital EP, titled The Long Cool EP and available now on digital sites.

Show time on June 7 is 9 p.m. Tickets are priced at $65, $85 and $100 and are on sale on April 26, 2008. Tickets available through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com or via phone at 1.800.736.1420, or at the Tropicana Box Office, located on the 1st floor of the North Tower.
