| Shore Gate Golf Club
Shore Gate offers a golf experience like no other in the area. Carved
from over 245 acres of pristine forest, only a few miles from the
Atlantic Ocean, Shore Gate is a unique combination of parkland and
Scottish links-style design that also presents a dramatic sculptured and
undulating feeling. Shore Gate offers an enjoyable and formidable
challenge to golfers of every level in a strikingly picturesque setting.
Shore Gate was designed by Ron Fream and David Dale of the
internationally renowned Golfplan - Fream & Dale Golf Course Architects
of Santa Rosa, California. Fream has built golf courses in more than 60
countries around the world, including Disneyland Paris, Royal Brunei and
Nine Bridges in Korea, Asia's most exclusive golf course.
Great care was taken to preserve the wetlands and other natural
endowments of this pristine environment. Jersey pines, oaks, maple,
holly and laurel beautifully frame the entire course. Seven lakes, 88
bunkers and vertical dunes offer additional visual and strategic
elements that put a premium on accuracy.
The course features five sets of tee markers on each hole, enabling each
golfer to custom design the Shore Gate experience according to ability.
Total yardage ranges from 5,200 to 7,200.
Shore Gate Golf Club was named to Golf Magazine's list of “Top Ten New
Public Courses” in the United States for 2002 and “Top Ten New Public
Courses 2003” by Golf Digest. |
